Les Chic, Les Chien (Week Ten)

Each week, I review one hundred looks, half of which induce the phonetic uh-mey-zing and half of which induce more violent vomit than the night Jake chose Vienna. With this series (translation: the cool, the rotten), you will ascertain, via my eyes, why an ensemble should spend an evening as your apparel or why an ensemble should spend an evening inside a nondescript box whose ultimate destination is the Salvation Army.

Kate Hudson looks amazing while arriving in Venice, Italy. She sparkles in a polka dot mini while she ties an adorable leather belt around her waist. The white tote, appropriate and bright jewelry (love that cuff!), and sunnies are the absolute way to arrive in style in the most serene republic.

Madonna is 54 years old and she is lifting her leg and showing her crotch to the universe. That in itself is my first problem. But, if you want to get serious, lets discuss her ensemble and that horrendous hair. Perhaps, the wicked witch of the west suggested she wear that hideous "dress" and lace up boots. The hair needs to be colored and she should probably consider getting off stage before Gaga shows up and owns her. Paws up!

Color Never Looked So Good

Top the end of your summer with some sassy and sweet colorful wooden wedges. The celebs have been spotted all over the city rocking these sexy shoes. You can select a flashy pair of these and work it with any outfit. Combine it with a neutral ensemble or a bright one. Just make sure, if you plan to wear a more striking wardrobe with your shoes, mesh the colors of your blazing attire.

Looking fabulous as always, Kate Beckinsale rocks a white jumpsuit while accompanying it with a white tote, festive wedges and blue sunnies. She opts for beach wave hair that totally sends us off with thoughts of the sun and sand.

The lovely Jessica Alba works together sunny green, pink and yellow wedges with a light green blazer and blouse. She cuffs her blazer which showcases a lighter color green, similar to the hue, yellow. She sports rolled jeans and a shoulder bag to perfect this look.

Talented Elizabeth Banks goes bold in all purple and orange. While her shoes match her blouse and jeans, she models off her short locks and adds simple and minimal jewelry. Make sure you always go light on accessories when going adventurous with brights and prints.

Fash In 360 (Destination One)

Backpacking around the world from now until early next year, my longtime childhood friend, Ashley, is taking photographs around the world to assemble a portfolio for future jobs. Along the way, she will be sending information and some photographs regarding the latest fashion trends from each city she visits. I am seriously ecstatic to have the opportunity to share this firsthand information with you, my readers. With Ashley's endeavor, we can develop and evolve our own personal favorites into our wardrobe at home.

LONDON
According to fabulous Ashley, London fashion is very dressy with lots of pearls, heels, blazers and watches. She describes the style to be very fashionable every day but also edgy with bright colors. Below are a few pictures of London fash.

Keep Makin' Me Ill (Week Nine)

I have what the unenlightened would deride as a compulsion, fetish, infatuation, or obsession, yet I value as a virus every male and female should contract, Seriously Irresistible Shoes Syndrome. I need clothes (how many consecutive afternoons can one wear Lauren Conrad leggings? Love you LC), however when I even glimpse espadrilles, flats, sandals, stilettos, or wedges; necessities be damned! My eyes shimmer, my heart flutters, and within two hours, I’m reorganizing my closet because last week’s pair has new neighbors.

I adore a classic shoe like these Ivanka Trump Pointed Toe Pumps ($130). Wear these with any frock, dress pants or jeans. Mix and match some cute pearls and diamonds to give off that conservative girl style.

These adorable Juicy Couture Wedge Sandals ($250) can be bought in two different colors: Black/Navy/Beige or Brown/Maroon/Magenta. Which ever you choose for your wardrobe, you certainly cannot go wrong. Perfect colors for fall.

I need these House of Harlow 1960 Smoking Flats ($195). They would def go great with a black blouse and black skinnies or leggings. Leopard is such a statement piece. Mix some leopard jewelry or handbag with this ensemble. (TIP: Don't worry if the leopards are different. When it come to leopard accessories, it is totally alright to mix and match.)

Need a great pair of flats? Never fear, Tory Burch is here. Snatch a pair of these radical Tory Burch Ballet Flats ($250) in Malachite Green or Adobe Red. Either color is screaming fall and with these it begs you to cozy up in a soft sweater and leggings.

The perfect statement shoe and also the perfect transition shoe. Sport these babies from fall straight to winter. With the adorable closed toe Loeffler Randall Wedge Sandals ($375) you can strut these til' the April showers bring May flowers.
