Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Tonight, 'Girls' Season 2 premieres on HBO. I know the anticipation has been killing all of us young females as we have been waiting anxiously for new episodes. So, lets recap real quick. Can you believe Hannah and Adam? This is totally going to be tough on him. I keep laughing at the fact that Hannah's ex-gay boyfriend is her new roomie and adore the idea of Marnie going with the flow of life. I think everyone needs to do that once in a while. Unpredictable Jessa and the threesome guy?! Seriously? Married? If that didn't shock us all, but something Jessa would totally do. As for Shoshanna, V-card... gone! Yikes... but something any guy by the name of Ray would totally do. I think we have a lot to look forward to this season and can't wait to see what happens. Loving all of the ladies in floral. Adore Jessa's printed pants, Hannah's brilliant, bright blue, Shoshanna's wedges and Marnie's lip stick that matches her frock! Super fab girls!!

The boys are looking all dapper at the Season 2 Premiere. Ray's skinny tie is super fab, Adam's sleek hair is hunky, Elijah's detailed collar is the perfect twist along with the gray suit and I have an obsession with Charlie's grungy look and scruff. Love!

Rockstar Face-offs (Week Two)

Each week, two famous celebrities face-off in a style challenge here on Doll Maison, allowing us to decide who rocked the look better. This week, "Rockstar Face-offs" Blake Lively and Katie Holmes model the Old Navy Rockstar Skinnies that are just a fashionable $29.50! Blake dazzles in the gray green skinnies that she mixes with a gray sweater, fedora, black handbag and flats while Katie opts for the hot red pants that she pairs with a cream blazer, navy tote and black strappy heels. So, who do you think rocked these jeans? Sassy Simple Sweats

The cold and crisp weather puts most of us in a mood. The kind of mood where you just want to snuggle up in a ball on the couch and watch your favorite movie. You dream about comfy sweats at work and can't wait to get home so you can dive into a pair. On the weekend, you lounge and go casual. Sometimes, it can be a challenge finding cute sweats though. I promise with the selection of sweats below you can look careless yet charming. Start shopping!

I adore Juicy Couture. Who couldn't! I gush over this gorge purple track suit with gorgeous sparkly silver detail on the back of the jacket. Get the JC Eagle Velour Hoodie ($198) and JC Eagle Velour Pant ($118) and pair these girly sweats with cute black flats.

This Hard Tail 'Girly' Hoodie ($88) is super chic and fun and goes great with black leggings or yoga pants. Accompany them with a pair of sneakers or cute flats to give the look the perfect effect.

Coming in a variety of colors these Women's Sweat Pants ($25) would look great with your favorite baseball or football team shirt. Add a pair of tennis shoes and toss your hair in a pony tail while you get ready to cheer on your team.

Tory Burch Resort 2013 Preview

While I sit here gushing and obsessing over the Tory Burch Resort 2013 collection, I must admit that this is by far my favorite collection, which is why I chose to do an individual piece on her designs. I hold a very special place in my heart for Tory while she is one of the most creative women in the fashion industry and I own several of her pieces. She knows exactly what she is doing and designs the most magnificent ensembles while constructing them with the best quality fabrics and exquisite patterns and prints. (Maybe I am biased because she wished me a Happy Birthday last year!) Every time I walk into one of her stores my heart flutters and I feel like a kid walking into a candy shop. As I view these outfits, I seriously want to scream with excitement. Tory Burch has done it again and I cannot wait for these pieces to hit stores! For now, check out my favorites below.

NYFW Spring 2013 Preview

While New York Fashion Week has come and gone, I took some time selecting my favorite pieces from seven genius designers. While the elimination process was crucial and insane, I have finally selected the most beloved styles. The collections featured at NYFW were absolutely incredible and I wish that they would fill my closet by Spring. Check out the most adored looks below. 

Michael Kors chose to add a touch of sparkle and gold with white shorts and metallic heels. The blouse is super glimmering and an incredible way to add spunk to any outfit.

Jason Wu goes classy with a black and white fitted top, black skinny ankle pants and black heels. He chooses to pop the outfit with a white and leopard tote.

BCBG opts for a flawless sheer, lace black and creme frock with black heels that wrap around the ankles. Flawless and perf! Crushing over the wavy locks and simple black clutch.

One of my fav designs was composed by DKNY. I love this simple and carefree gown that fits the body completely. I admire how creative the design is while it also offers a collective feel.

DVF chooses bold and funky colors and patterns (per usual) which I totally gush over! The gorgeous dress above showcases a coral hue, white and turquoise. I love the bit of sparkle at the bottom of the frock that totally adds something special.

Kate Spade has proven that 50's inspired fash is what is going to be hot! Grab the mint collar blouse, checker capris, pointed toe flats, cat eye sunnies and nude tote. So Mad Men!

Victoria Beckham creates this chic and hip white mini with a clean and effortless cutout. Paired with the sassy nude knee high gladiators, this is totes amaze! I die!

FALaLa (Fall Preview 2012)

As I was browsing through some brilliant "September Issue" magazines today, I seriously had some "OMG!," "Die!," and "I want that soooo bad" kinda moments. Really. I have never been more ready for fall. Maybe because I am working retail and boots and cute pants are arriving or  possibly because I am dreaming of when the 100 degree temps will suffocate. Either way, I totes have to share with you what I found, for what to expect and flaunt this fall. 

Flared LBD's

Get this Sheer Accent Flared Dress at Armani Exchange ($128) as your signature fall statement frock. The sheer lace adds the perfect amount of sexy while still keeping it simple and classy. Add fun bangles and earrings to complete the A+ look. 

Pendant Necklaces

Snatch one of these desired Kate Spade New York 'Desert Stone' Long Pendant Necklaces ($98). These are perfect to wear with jeans and a t-shirt. Try keeping everything else simple in your ensemble while adding the perfect touch with this ornate piece.

Bright Coats

Touch up your fall look with a bright coat to liven the outfit. This gorgeous Juicy Couture Chelsea Coat  ($398) is great for those fall days and nights. While most coats are going to be pricey, remember you are investing in something that will last several years. Pick a color that will always be in style such as red or black.

Festive Pants

Totally in love with these Women's Tribal Print Leggings by Kardashian Kollection ($22). While they may market them as leggings, they are thick and comfortable just like a pant. Absolutely a must have! (Top Secret: If you can't get your size online, check your local Sears store. I saw tons this weekend!)

Sparkly Headbands

This spunky headband is great to wear with any outfit you choose for the afternoon. The flirty, Sparkling Beaded Headband ($7) can be found at Forever 21. Toss this on while your beachy locks are blowing in the wind or while sporting a sassy, high pony tail.

Collar Necklaces

Pair your collar necklace over dark separates or a lace blouse. You can also rock one of these with a plunging v-neck to hide a bit of skin, or spice your look up with two collar necklaces, making a simple top look high-end. This Enamel and Python Chain Back Collar Necklace can be purchased at Express ($40).

Purple, Please

One of my favorite colors is having a HUGE, MAJ, moment this fall. Get your purple on whether it be your tops, pants, accessories, sunnies or handbags. You cannot go wrong. These grape colored heels are perfection. Get your tush to Target now and get these Paisley Platform Pumps ($30) just in time for the crisp weather.

Immaculate And Unsuitable

At the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, held at Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California, I had the pleasure of viewing all of the fashion hits and misses. While I typically take award shows very seriously, I had trouble taking this years Teen Choice serious. I cannot decide if it was because it included so many young kids or that I am accustomed to the usual bad fashion. Luckily, I decided on a best and worst and am excited to show you. Check it out below. 

Sexy mama, Kat Graham looked beyond words PERFECT in this bright patterned, peach Mara Hoffman mini while accompanying it with bold blue and purple Gio Diev heels and a neutral clutch. I appreciate how appropriate and different this look was. Love it!

While Hanna Martin is my favorite character and the one I relate to most on Pretty Little Liars, Ashley Benson really took on a fashion fail. I cannot understand how such a beautiful girl would want to dress so terrible. The lace corset and baggy pants are a definite N-O! Love the hair and black nails but couldn't we have done something a little more fun and less well, tacky.

Mission Impossible

With the sad news of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes splitting, I felt it was appropriate to look back on the impeccable fashion they once shared together. Throughout the years, I have admired TomKat seeing as they dressed the part for every occasion. Below are some of my favorite looks concerning one of Hollywood's most admired couples, that is no longer. 

Looking beachy and free on a stroll with adorable daughter Suri, Katie wears a yellow sundress, oversized sunnies and a vibrant headband while Tom rocks a blue polo and khaki pants. 

Totally classy and chic, Katie dons in a beautiful exclusive navy dress while Tom accompanies her in a very composed suit and matching tie.

All smiles at a Laker game in 2010, TomKat buoyantly shares a bowl of popcorn while they go carefree yet trendy in button up tops and jeans. Katie adds spice with her nude heels while Tom sports a leather jacket.
