Gorgeous Grammys

Better late than never. I wanted to do a quick review of the Grammys that happened last month. I absolutely gushed over several looks and want to share them with you. I decided I would be happier sharing with you my top 3 favorite looks rather than the usual best and worst!

I have to say Ciara seriously knows how to own her growing baby bump. This soon-to-be mama dazzles in this beautiful gold Emilio Pucci gown. Her perfectly styled hair and natural makeup complete the entire look. This lady is going to be one stylish and golden mommy. Seriously adore her maternity style.

Taylor Swift is always someone you can look forward to seeing walk the red carpet. She clearly knows how to style a perfectly elegant and classic look. It is so refreshing to see a young girl respect herself and be a role model for other young girls. I adore this sparkly Gucci frock and hands down this is one of my favorite gowns I have ever seen walk the carpet. Thank you, Taylor!

If I were to pick out any gown for the Grammys, Katy Perry already snatched it from me. As soon as I saw KP's head shot tweet with her brother headed to the show, I knew by the little bit that I saw that I would be in love.  I gush over the soft color of this gown and die for the simple musical notes that flow from this Valentino frock. Such an inventive style worn by an amazing and talented girl.

Fashion, Faces & Fabulous (Month One)

Every month, beauty expert, Courtney Rogers, and myself will be giving you the very best advice on how to model the latest fashion and makeup trends. We agree it can be a little challenging to find a balance between style and beauty. Here, we will give you the latest insight on how to choose the perfect outfit while also incorporating your basic beauty necessities. We hope that with our help you feel more fabulous than ever before. Stay stylish, dolls.

"Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful."
 -Sophia Loren

Hannah (Style): Wherever you are, you are probably getting ready for fall. Slowly, we start seeing more scarves and sweaters. While we get excited for the new season, it is important to transition properly with your ensembles. Eva Mendes knows just how to do that. She opts for a simple white top (something you can get year round) while pairing it with a brown colored maxi skirt. She properly displays a caramel colored side bag and belt. Her sand colored wedges are the perfect transition piece, while this specific hue works for both summer and fall. She adds a touch of color with blue sunnies.

Grab a similar look while purchasing a white blouse, darker colored skirt and simple, neutral shoes. Whether you choose heels, sandals or wedges, you need that perfect transition piece. Add a touch of summer fun (while you still have some time left) with a small accessory such as a pair of sunnies, a bracelet, necklace or ring. If you need any assistance, your personal stylist is here to help.

Courtney (Beauty): This season its all about simple, sexy and making a statement. I want to highlight three of my favorite looks I see trending. There are many more hitting the runway and fashion magazines, but these are my favs!

The first look is sophisticated and simple. Its all about keeping the eyes very minimal, with flawless, but natural looking skin, a light contour through the cheek bones, and then a bold lip from burgundy to bright red. The more muted, the more fallish it will feel.

To achieve this look it doesn’t take much. Start with a sheer foundation, tinted moisturizer or BB Cream. Depending upon how clear your skin is, you can keep it pretty light. I like to add concealer under the eyes to brighten up any dark cirlces. Set with your favorite HD powder. For the eyes, simply use a primer (like the Paint Pots from MAC) and cover the lid. This can be the all over highlight color and brow bone highlight. Or, you can use a light color one shade brighter than your current coloring. Pop a tan to brown shade all over the lid to the crease for a nice, natural definition. Use this same color to contour out the cheekbones. Make a fishy-face and add that color under the bone for the perfect definition. Forego the liner, and just put on several coats of mascara, or even falsies if you are headed out. Lightly fill in your brows with a powder or pencil one shade lighter than your natural hair. To finish, pop on that bold lip! This is the best part. I like to start with a lip primer to help with any feathering. When working with darker colors, it is essential to keep the lip very defined, so line the lips with a matching liner. To pick out your perfect lip color, be sure to find one that really compliments your skin tone. Anything from a rosey red, to a bold burgundy will make the right statement. If you are having trouble choosing, your favorite beauty advisor will be sure to point you in the right direction.

Hannah (Style): One of the most popular statement pieces we will find in fashion this season is some lovely lace. While out shopping, I have seen it incorporated in scarves, on shoes, pants, jewelry and so much more. I personally love a lace blouse that you can pair with some jeans or leggings like Olivia Munn, above. She knows exactly what she is doing while she goes for that sexy lace on top, skinny jeans and black booties.

If you opt for this look, keep in mind that most (not all) lace tops are produced in lighter hues. You want to make sure you incorporate your top with a dark bottom, such as a pair of jeans and definitely make sure you add a dark, closed toe heel or booties to have your body appear long and lean. Go for dark nails and simple jewelry (perhaps a pair of studded diamond earrings.)

Courtney (Beauty): The second look I want to spotlight is just super fun! It sort of takes me back to the 80’s with color! It’s all about a fun pastel shadow on your lids, lots of mascara and then a smudged out brown or black liner on the bottom. Adding a lip to match the lids is the perfect finish, or just a gloss. It’s a new version of that smokey eye we all die for.

For this look you just need to find that favorite colored shadow! I love using a pastel purple or blue. I love to wear this look with muted wardrobe tones, or matchy-match my outfit to my eyeshadow. Just go with what ever you feel on this look. Start with that light foundation in the first look, and then add your fun shadow all over your lid. Blend it with a nice fluffy brush through the lid crease to buzz out any harsh lines. I like to add a soft brown liner on the inner rim of my upper lids. This gives a fullness to my lashes. Pop that same liner on the lower, inner rim of the eye and then smudge it under the eyes. The thicker the smudged out liner, the more dramatic it will be. Be sure this is a soft smudged look, nothing too harsh. To keep it even softer, use a light brown color to blend in with that pencil under the eyes. Curl your lashes and add lots of mascara or some lashes if you are going for drama. I like to add a bright pink lip and then wipe it down to look more like a stain. Pop on a flirty, naturally pink cheek to finish this look off, or opt for a bronzer as a contour.

Hannah (Style): One of my celeb look alike's really went cute in this look above. Katy Perry goes fun and flirty with a floral printed dress and skinny black belt. I absolutely love that she took this look to another level with a bright, white headband and flats (don't judge a girl for having to carry her matching wedges, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!) She perfectly showcases that you can wear a cute pair of wedges or a simple pair of flats with a dress like this.

To develop a similar look, find a fun printed dress that screams fall. Dark, neutral colors are always great but if you seriously need a little bit more color to add to your wardrobe, do not be afraid to go for a tomato red, mustard yellow, burnt orange, or dark purples and blues. Find that amazing frock and pair it was a matching pair of wedges or brown or black pair of flats.

All of these ensembles are terrific and absolutely what you will see in stores and around the block. Be creative and don't ever be afraid to take a risk. Your fashion should be bold and flirty. Treat it like you are strolling by the ocean, as near to the edge as you can go.

Courtney (Beauty): The last trending look I am so excited to share with you is one that I have fallen in love with! Its sort of a holographic look/ smokey eye. This look is perfect for a day to night or just a dressy day look. It’s natural enough that you can rock it with your Toms and casual skirt or jeans, but also bold enough to wear out on the town.

For this look, grab your favorite pastel shade of eye shadow. With a fluffy brush, apply it all over the lids, and then pop it underneath the lower lashes as well. Create a 45 degree angle from the outer edge of the eye, to the corner of the brow. Throw on several coats of mascara and a subtle cheek and lip. Definitely let those eyes pop! This is fun, flirty and fabulous!

These looks are bold, and may be a stretch for you. But have fun, and see what happens! It’s nice to be able to change it up a little bit. Embrace being a woman and kick up those heels! I’m doing it too!

Les Chic, Les Chien (Week Nine)

Each week, I review one hundred looks, half of which induce the phonetic uh-mey-zing and half of which induce more violent vomit than the night Jake chose Vienna. With this series (translation: the cool, the rotten), you will ascertain, via my eyes, why an ensemble should spend an evening as your apparel or why an ensemble should spend an evening inside a nondescript box whose ultimate destination is the Salvation Army.

You would think Jessica Alba might get ONE outfit wrong in the time since Les Chic, Les Chien began, but think again. Alba rocks a mint colored blouse that she styles with a leather vest and black leggings. She sports a simple necklace and earrings, carries around a neutral colored handbag and handles her main accessory, daughter Haven. Jess grips her green tea that displays her stylish and trendy two toned nails and sassy bangles.

Its been a Heartbreak Warfare for Katy Perry. She's been dumped by too many guys this year (latest candidate: John Mayer). Do you think she ever considers the fact that if all of these men are leaving her, she might be the problem. Here's a starter: YOUR WARDROBE. A leotard accompanied by a sheer cover and studded leather jacket certainly will NOT do the trick girlfriend. The hair is another massive issue. It looks like KP hasn't showered in days. Go grab yourself some organic shampoo, a CHI and some product and be on your way.

Pick A Lock (Part One)

I have a hair appointment next week and while I always struggle with how to style my hair, I ALWAYS rely on my celeb look alike's to help me out. I need some MAJ advice. Do you think I should continue growing my hair out so I can get Kim's long look, keep my length now like Ashley's or cut it short for fall like Katy? What do you think! I need all the opinions I can get. Tweet me @hannahkooc your thoughts or comment on the post below and let me know what you think.

Kim Kardashian rocks her gorgeous long waves while running errands in the city.

Ashley Greene sparkles with her medium length hair and looks super chic at a magazine event.

Katy Perry shows off her new bob while promoting her movie in Rio De Janeiro.

Do you think I should color my hair? Do you think I should continue growing it out, keep it the length it is or cut it? Once we get the final two looks, we will consider more thoughts and opinions and finally decide what will be best for my new fall look.

Killer Queen

You first heard of her when she was kissing a girl (and liked it!) while a few years later she was sippin' gin and juice layin' underneath the palm trees. Now, quirky pop princess Katy Perry is starring in her very own; Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D. The movie is a look at the "real" Katy, while she showcases how she dealt with all the personal bumps in the road during her 2011 California Dreams excursion. Below is a look at some of her yummy costume changes while on tour.

Looking like a teenage dream, KP wears this fun cupcake themed costume and signature blue wig.

Fine, fresh, fierce. The Santa Barbara native dazzles in sparkly peppermint fashion with her one of a kind peppermint inspired microphone.

Crazy Katy looks super sweet and tasty in this exclusive candy land baby doll dress.

Jaw dropping, eye popping, head turning, body shocking. Perry looks radiant and sassy rocking the animated peacock ensemble.

Hey Stella; Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose

One of the premiere means for amplifying your ensembles' volume is accessories and one of the premiere organizations you should employ is Stella and Dot, a brand whose enthusiasts include Nina Dobrev, Ali Fedotowsky, Lucy Hale, Katherine Heigl, Kourtney Kardashian, Melissa McCarthy, Katy Perry, Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Ripa, and Betty White. Below are four sizzling selections which will instantly intensify a previously brand top, dull skirt, or an exhausted pair of jeans.

These sexy and super versatile Chantilly Lace Chandelier Earrings ($49) are an extreme necessity if you own a jewelry box.
 .

This bold and sassy Palamino Necklace ($138) pairs perfectly with any solid colored t-shirt or dress and will have every one of your besties asking where they can score theirs.

One of my favorite S&D pieces is the Sloane Enamel Bangle ($59) whose sparkle gushes girl's night out and whose beach ivory color whispers afternoon on the beach.

The natural stone of this Odyssey Ring ($59) will have your boho mind strolling through Soho even if you are merely pumping gas outside of Speedway.

Lovely In Lilac

This spring's hottest lip color is Lilac. It is fresh, gorgeous, vibrant, and the greatest part of all is this color looks smashing on just about anyone. You just have to find the right shade for your skin tone. If you have fair skin, aim for a lips with more of a pink tone and if you have medium to dark skin, look for lip color that skews more violet. Below are some adorable celebrities who rock this sassy color.

Cameron Diaz rocks lilac with her medium skin tone complimenting her beach waves and piercing blue eyes.

My girl crush, Katy Perry sparkles in this popular lip color while promoting her fragrance. This particular tint looks beautiful against her fair skin.

Ashley Greene knows how to wear this shade of lilac while at the Twilight Saga Eclipse premiere. It looks elegant and feminine against her fair to medium skin tone and light brown hair.

Magnifique à Paris

Paris Fashion Week has wrapped with Balmain, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, and more rocking the runway before the eyes of celebrity and fashion's elite.  Below are a few of my favs whose ensembles were as major as the ones they were watching.

I always love Katy Perry. The Smurf's star has curves, which she totally knows how to own, and blue hair, which she couldn't have styled more flawlessly. Can we just say smurfalish!

Mila Kunis rocks a classy white coat and simple lace dress. I absolutely love this look but I wish she would have worn her hair in a bun, more resembling Audrey Hepburn.

Jessica Alba sparkles in an adorable blouse and skirt while sitting front row at the Lanvin fashion show.

How Taylor & Kelly Sparkled While Katy & Christina Looked Obnoxious

BEST DRESSED

Taylor Swift is definitely the All-American girl you hope your daughter grows up to be and your son marries. She looked enchanting in Reem Acra. The earrings added a perfect pop of color while the bracelet simplified the ensemble.
Kelly Clarkson owned her curves while fighting off her critics in this lucious, sparkly red dress. The Mr. Know It All Singer completed her classy and elegant presence with stunning earrings and hair.
Hillary Scott looked adorable in Rani Zakhem, joined by bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.

Matthew Morrison looked charming and confident in his open collar all black ensemble. Now I understand why all the girls were updating their twitter with the hash tag Mr. Schuster.

WORST DRESSED

Lately, Katy Perry has disgusted me with her most recent "style." I am shocked as to what happened to our California Girl. I might pretend to understand her current Japaneese obsession, but this Vivienne Westwood dress looks like a compilation of Old Newspapers all of whose headlines read "With that pink hair, you look like monster." Bring back our Cali girl.

Christina Aguilera wore Herve Leger which would have been appropriate if she were performing Come On Over and not Moves Like Jagger. Does X-Tina not have an assistant, a friend, a stylist, or someone randomly reading US Weekly as she passes who will tell her she should dress for her own size instead of attempting to resemble a stuffed sausage?

While they are typically the most adorable couple not on the top of a wedding cake, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez wore ensembles that shouldn't be forced on a couple even at their joint funeral. Selena's Giorgio Armani dress looked like dorm room curtains made out of used Jiffy Pop bags and The Biebs wore a two sizes to big tuxedo which Po is scheduled to wear in the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3: From Wokano With Love.

As bizarre as Kimberly Perry's Bottega Veneta burgundy dress appeared against the black and white funeral background as her band performed If I Die Young, her hair was worse. Who clicked like next to the idea that you can hop out of bed, shower, throw some moose into your hair, scrunch it, and then appear in public?
